The champion of the 2017 Aliwan Photo Contest wishes that his picture will inspire other people
Conrad Panelo, who previously placed 4th in the 2014 Aliwan Photo Competition, won this year’s contest with his photo entitled Sayaw Antipolo which shows the Antipolo Maytime Festival during the street dance parade at Roxas Boulevard.
Panelo said that he hopes that his work, along with the other pictures exhibited at the cinema lobby of SM Manila, will become the inspirations of other people wishing to take on photography.
He also advised other photographers and aspiring artists to keep on practicing and to be active in competitions.
Panelo told his fellow photographers.
Mr. Panelo revealed that he only expected to be a finalist of this year’s photo competition and that he is thankful that he won the grand prize.
He is also grateful to Tropang Artistiko and the other masters who taught him the art of photography.
Panelo said that he continues to learn from elder and more experienced photographers.
Panelo said regarding his journey to continuous develop his skills in photography.
The works of Panelo and the other finalists of the 2017 Aliwan Photo Contest can be seen near the cinemas of SM Manila until June 13.
