2 rookie cops, 2 MPD officials sacked from post

The Manila Police District axed two rookie cops and two of its officials because of helmet and mustache.

NCPRO Director Chief Supt. Marcelo Garbo Jr. wasn’t happy seeing PO1 Andre Nunez and PO1 mark Jayson Paez riding their motorcycles without helmets on.

Garbo noticed that the two cops didn’t shave their mustaches and because of that, Barbosa PCP Commander Sr. Insp. Robinson Maranon was dragged into the issue as he is the two cops’ immediate superior.

Also, Police District Station 3 Commander Supt. Ricardo Layug wasn’t spared from the Director’s lashing.

Garbo clarified that this has nothing to do with politics since he has no plans of being the Chief of the Philippine National Police.

Garbo mentioned that removing the two cops and two officials from their posts is part in making sure that the PNP will be able to keep its respectable image.
