Two were killed, while 13 were injured during a three-vehicle collision in Atimonan, Quezon on the morning of July 8.
According to C/Insp. Michael Encio, chief of the Atimonan police, truck driver Elmer Gomez lost control of his brakes while traversing the diversion road of Brgy. Sta. Catalina at about 2:40AM.
The truck hit a Mitsubishi L-300 van, driven by Ronnie Panteriore, which collided with the Isuzu Dropside truck of Randy Asiao.
The killed victims were identified as Shielo Corbito, 14 years old, and Evelyn Asia, 57, who were both passengers of the van.
Panteriore, and nine other passengers of the van were also injured and is taken to the Doña Martha Memorial District Hospital, Atimonan in order to be treated.
Gomez and his two passengers were also wounded due to the vehicular accident.
